2021 Smoky Mountain Gathering Planned for April

One of the first Church of God events to be cancelled in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic was the Smoky Mountain Gathering. It was supposed to be a celebration of the 30th year of the event designed for senior adults in the Church of God.

Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast to Occur

Government and church leaders and people of faith will convene on Saturday January 23, 2021 for the eighth “Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast” in the heart of America, Washington, DC. Hostess, Rev. Merrie Turner stated, “the LORD is shouldering the Nation and the Government is upon His shoulder, according to Isaiah 9:6. It’s always an honor to pray for the ‘Office of the Presidency’ and for mercy, healing and revival of the Nation. We are grateful for the recovery of President Trump and the First Family and protection of the Whitehouse Cabinet.”

Group Celebrates Annual GMA Dove Awards

Roundtable Management celebrates big wins at the 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards held last Friday evening. We The Kingdom claimed “New Artist of the Year” and Kari Jobe’s “The Blessing” took home “Worship Song of the Year.” The two wins do not come as a surprise to fans as both artists have been breaking records in the CCM genre.

Roebuck to Present Azusa Lecture on Benevolence Ministries; Honorees Named

Dr. David G. Roebuck will present the Fifteenth Annual Azusa Lecture on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m. Rather than a public gathering, the lecture will be livestreamed from the Church of God International Offices at facebook.com/coghq, facebook.com/dixonprc, and www.cogevents.com/azusa. Roebuck will speak on “Unto the Least of These: Roots and Fruit of Church of God Benevolence Ministries.” His lecture is part of a series of events celebrating the centennial of the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home. Now located in Sevierville, Tennessee, the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home began as the Church of God Orphanage in Cleveland, Tennessee, in December 1920.
