This anti-God secular newspaper had no idea that this was exactly the prayer of both Australian and American Christians who have been praying in unity in the lead up to the American Election. Australian Christians called for prayer from all over the world for the American elections at a ‘Sunrise Prayer Relay’ on Tuesday 8 November 2016. Australia is 18 hours ahead of the USA.

I smell fear when I walk outside these days. And I hear discouragement. We’re all in a mess over the election and the dawning realization that the culture wars are shredding the United States.
When the world shows its terrible side, the church gets to speak prophetically, with truth, grace and hope to our communities and to our culture. There’s never been a more appropriate time for us, as Christians, to ask ourselves what Jesus wants His movement, His people, His kingdom to stand for.
