Younger People Receiving Ministerial Credentials in Kentucky

The Church of God has a program within the Division of Education called Calling and Ministry Studies (CAMS). In the state of Kentucky, the Church of God has made a concerted effort to train younger ministerial candidates. Last year, in Kentucky, the average age of the applicant was 39. This year, the average age is 29. At the recent testing date for the Exhorter exam, three teenagers passed the Exhorter exam, becoming credentialed ministers in the Church of God.

Christian Leaders Seek Solutions to Impact of Pornography on the Church

A major gathering of Christian Denominational leaders, pastors, school administrators, teachers, parents’ groups, camp directors, and other ministry leaders will converge in Greensboro, North Carolina at the “Set Free Global Summit” (setfreesummit.org) on April 4 to 7, to learn from and interact with eminent Christian experts who will present practical advice on addressing pornography in the Church and among individuals. The Summit will also unveil a special study presenting detailed statistics about pornography use by denominations.
