More recently he has been involved in dangerous evangelism efforts in northern Nigeria, where Islamic jihadists have killed 17,000 people in the past five years.
Missionaries are not permitted in some Asian countries, and conversion to Christianity is strictly forbidden by law. Converts risk jail, ostracism, and many give the ultimate sacrifice by death at the hands of family members.
