Athanasius School of Ministry Celebrates Successes

In January 2002, Senior Pastor Acklan Quarrie began training lay leaders in the Bronxwood International Church of God and other neighboring churches in the greater New York City area by using the School of Ministry courses. He named the new school Athanasius School of Ministry. By the end of that first semester, 23 students had completed the first two courses.

Ecumenical Water Network Urges Elimination of Bottled Water

The International Reference Group of the Ecumenical Water Network (EWN) of the World Council of Churches (WCC), at the conclusion of its recent meeting in Geneva, urged churches and ecumenical organizations in Europe and North America to consider eliminating the use of bottled water due to the its adverse impact on the environment and because it is an impediment to realizing the human right to water.

Announced this Wednesday, Christian movie retailer FishFlix.com has launched a new podcast dedicated to reviewing and informing the listener about Christian movies. Every Wednesday a new episode is released spotlighting a Christian movie, reviewing the film, and giving a parental guidance review. The movies reviewed on this podcast range from new films releasing in theaters to older, classic Christian movies that have already been released on DVD.
