Dr. Mark L. Williams, Presiding Bishop of the Church of God, urges all of our churches to join with Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the largest Hispanic Christian organization throughout the Spanish-speaking diaspora, to observe a minute of silence and prayer reflecting upon the persecution of Christians worldwide, especially the 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians murdered and their grieving families.

The National Black Church Initiative (NBCI), a faith-based coalition of 34,000 churches and 15.7 million African Americans, announced plans to partner with Cedisus, LLC to help bring access to emergency water supplies to its congregants so members are more prepared for disaster events.

Last Sunday in Libya, masked militants linked to the ISIS terrorist group led 21 Egyptian Christian men to the Mediterranean shore and made them kneel. Then the Islamic jihadis took out knives and cut each man’s head off.

The world was shocked this week as the news surfaced of 21 Egyptian Christians having been brutally slaughtered by Libyan extremists who identified themselves with the Islamic State (ISIS). Dr. Mark L. Williams, general overseer and presiding bishop of the Church of God, issued the following statement:

Since the Supreme Court’s landmark Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion throughout the United States, an astounding 56 million lives have been aborted, many of which occurred at Planned Parenthood clinics.
