North Central Theological Seminary (NCTS) announces a three-month, intensive course of study in Old Testament Hebrew. Sections will be 45-minutes long, twice a week, and will be available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. The sections will be live videoconferencing, with time at the end of each study for questions and answers. According to Prof. Brink, “Enrollees will not be getting bogged down in a lot of details of grammar, but will enjoy learning the names and sounds of the Hebrew alphabet so as to read and pronounce Hebrew words. The sections will focus on key words and phrases from the Old Testament: names for God, the concepts and teachings about the glory of the Lord, atonement, covenant, righteousness, sin and holiness.”
The following is a statement released late Friday, June 26, 2015, the same day the Supreme Court of the United States issued a 5-4 ruling legalizing same sex marriage. The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) is repulsed by the Supreme Court’s decision last week to undermine the institution of marriage by imposing “gay marriage” nationwide. Moreover, taking note of Chief Justice John Roberts’ dissenting opinion, NRB is concerned about the Court’s intentions for the clearly delineated guarantee in the U.S. Constitution that citizens may freely exercise their religion.
Christian Grandparenting Network is announcing its fifth annual Grandparents’ Day of Prayer (GDOP) on September 13, 2015. The purpose of Grandparents Day of Prayer is for grandparents to unite in prayer for their grandchildren and their parents on the designated National Grandparents Day.
On June 26, 2015 the United States Supreme Court ordered the re-definition of marriage. In recent years the credibility of the Court has suffered tremendously as the justices have become judicial activists, creating law out of thin air and practicing juvenile sophistry. As Justice Alito said in his dissent, the U.S. Supreme Court has become America’s greatest threat to democracy in our constitutional Republic. Nine appointees in robes have become the Rulers of 320 million Americans.
