Operation Compassion, an independent benevolent organization with roots in the Church of God, provided many of its non-profit partners with blankets for distribution during the winter months. When Operation Compassion received the blankets, no one knew the 2013-14 winter would set records across the midwest, eastern and southern United States. Many areas have set records for low temperature and snowfall making it extremely difficult for the homeless and underserved populations to survive.
