Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home

December is a time for giving: giving of time, talents, finances, energy, wisdom and most of all ourselves. However, at the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home (SMCH) giving is no different in December than any other time of the year. Many are faithful to the task of caring all year round for those whom God has entrusted to the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.

2013 Marketplace Ministry Award Recipients Announced

Northeast Christians At Work, an all-volunteer, non-profit workplace ministry, announced today the recipients of the 15th annual Northeast Marketplace Ministry Awards. Each year during Christmas season, awards are given to individuals, churches and organizations that demonstrate a high level of interest in, and practical application of, godliness in the workplace. In alphabetical order, the 2013 recipients are:

Gospel for Asia Effort Offers Life-Changing Gifts to Impoverished Families

By being a part of the “Critter Campaign” (www.gfa.org/info/critter), an annual Christmas-season program of Gospel for Asia (GFA), gifts of livestock give impoverished families in South Asia an opportunity to have their daily needs met, provide a long-term income source and open the door to hear about God’s ultimate gift — the love of Jesus.
