On September 8, they totally destroyed the church where Gospel for Asia missionary Prakul Chirag serves as pastor, and three other GFA missionaries barely escaped from being burned to death.

Burning, looting, manhunts and violence against women and Christians continue in the state of Orissa as the curfew imposed by the government is expanded from the district of Kadhamal to other cities. Police are ordered to shoot on sight.
In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 13th the eye of Hurricane Ike slammed into the Texas Gulf Coast. The iconic hurricane that started as a tropical depression two weeks ago in the mid Atlantic Ocean became a monster leaving death and destruction in its wake.
