Alpha Omega Continues to Impact College Campuses
Alpha Omega Church of God Campus Ministries reports on the continued outreach on college and university campuses.
By John Unthank, director
Our Alpha Omega Church of God Campus Ministry groups are steadily impacting their campuses this fall semester. Here are some of the exciting updates:
University of Cincinnati, Ohio
The group holds a weekly student meeting in their newly renovated Collegiate Center and special events on Saturdays. They served a pancake breakfast to students on campus from midnight to 2am serving hundreds of students. Inner city witnessing is one of their priorities. The Central Parkway Church of God sponsors this ministry to the campus which is adjacent to the church. David and Renee Velie and Jeremy Good lead this ministry.
Mississippi State University
This group has a three tiered ministry of a bi-weekly student meeting on campus, a local church collegiate meeting, and a campus prayer service. They reach dozens of students through their ministries and the leadership of Greg Browning andhis team.
Florida State University
The Genesis Church in Tallahassee, Florida is reaching to the Florida State University. They meet every Thursday night on campus in the Student Union and recently sponsored a free BBQ for many students.
Northern Kentucky University
Chris Vaught and his team helped to promote a free Christian concert on campus with 500 students attending.
These updates represent just a portion of the outstanding ministry that is taking place on secular campuses through our Church of God campus leaders and local churches. Please keep all of our Alpha Omega ministries in your prayers.
