NEPAL – UPDATE – The leader of the Hindu extremist group, Nepal Defense Fund (NDF), has threatened to bomb the homes of all Christians if they do not stop spreading the gospel within one month, according to The Voice of the Martyrs contacts. In a letter received by local newspapers in Nepal, R.P. Mainali, the supreme commander of the NDF, demanded that Nepal be declared a Hindu state and Christians should not be allowed to worship freely. He said Hindu groups would not allow foreign missionaries and if the government did not comply, “they would fight the government.”
Nepal ― Gospel for Asia native missionary Manja Tamang was released from a Nepali prison Friday after serving 9 years of a 20-year sentence. Manja was imprisoned in 2000 after being falsely accused of murder.

This rally is in response from a federal judge’s ruling on prayer in Santa Rosa County, FL schools. Two seniors from Pace High School have been removed from speaking at their own Graduation Ceremony to avoid any reference to their personal religious beliefs.
Pakistan ― Conflict with the Taliban has displaced almost one and a half million Pakistanis. Some are Christians, and Todd Nettleton with Voice of the Martyrs says they are especially vulnerable.
On April 30, 2009, a group of house church Christians and leaders from the house church group China Gospel Fellowship (CGF) were gathered for a communion service at a house church in Xinye city, Henan province, when they were raided by a dozen PSB officers. Eighteen Christians were taken to the Public Security Bureau (PSB) office of Xinye city. They were each forced to pay a 1000 yuan (about $150) fine.
