On Wednesday, December 11, 2019 the National Office of New Testament Church of God in Northampton, England, will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dr Oliver Augustus Lyesight, credited with being a founding father and first leader for the Church of God in England and Wales. The following tribute and biography was submitted by Rev. Ruben King of the New Testament Church of God in Wolverhampton.
The VITAL Initiative was organized around the core belief that says, “Small churches are vitally important to what God is doing in the earth today!” This conviction undergirds the stated mission: “To help the Church of God realize and utilize the power and place of small churches in 21st century Kingdom work.”
A committee has been formed and artists have been secured for the popular Church of God Smoky Mountain Gathering event set for April 28-30, 2020.
