United Cry DC16 Invites Pastors to Pray for America April 9

United Cry DC16 is a nationwide gathering of pastors, Christian leaders, churches and believers joining to pray and contend for America’s future on April 9th, 2016 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. The goals of the 7 hour event are to:

65th Annual National Day of Prayer Is Thursday, May 5

The National Day of Prayer is not just a vital part of America’s heritage, but is as relevant and critical today as it was at the first call by our Continental Congress in 1775. Established in public law by a joint resolution of Congress signed by President Truman in 1952, then amended to designate the day under the 100th Congress and President Reagan in 1988, it states that “The President shall issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups and as individuals.”

Azusafest and Azusanow Leaders to Meet at 312 Azusa Street

The partnership of Azusafest and Azusanow will culminate on Sunday, April 10 at the closing ceremony on the property where it all began. The Azusafest celebration is a pre and post event to the Azusanow 2016 celebration in the Los Angeles coliseum on April 9.

King Family to Join in Racial Reconciliation at United Cry DC16 Prayer Event April 9

Members of the families of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and historical author Alex Haley will participate in a “repentance, sanctification and racial reconciliation” event during United Cry DC16 on April 9, 2016 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Citing Amos 5:24, members of the Alex Haley and King families will take part in a special “foot washing and mantle passing ceremony.”
