The Associated Press and MTV released a study in August connecting religion and spirituality to the overall happiness for most American young people. Forty-four percent claim “religion and spirituality are either a very important or the single most important thing in their lives.”
Within the global movement to change what is unjust and unfair in the world-a movement driven by churches and secular humanitarian organizations alike-a new voice is emerging. Most of us have bickered with our “significant other” over something that’s not our loved one’s fault. The argument was likely triggered by something that happened in our past.
For many years, Sunday mornings were known as the most divided hour in America due to race. Today, it’s still divided, but often by music and worship styles as congregations seek to reach an audience whose tastes for music and tech savvy presentations create new challenges for today’s church leaders.
