We did several seminars and open air crusades. We traveled to Lira, a city in Northern Uganda, and did ministry there, resulting in many being converted.
North Africa — As children, Susana and Salomon felt a strong inclination and call to serve the least fortunate, especially the unreached, with community development programs with a holistic perspective. They did that through activities that would benefit and increase the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social and economic health level of people of all cultures. Toward that end, they built bridges of acquaintance with different cultures and needs through research.
We recently had the privilege of preaching and teaching in two churches, one of them was a 98 % deaf and mute constituency. What a blessing to worship the Lord with people who are so limited by their physical condition, but they so desperately want to express their love to God.
The children are only served lunch when Poppi (Smith) comes to their school. Many of the children came back for seconds and thirds and this is the best meal they will receive all week. Poppi is up at 3 a.m. in the morning cooking food for these children out of her own kitchen. Any remaining food is given to the orphanage supported by the church school.
