More than 600 attendees at the Finishing the Task Conference hosted at Saddleback Church Dec. 4-6 adopted the last of 343 unengaged people groups for gospel engagement in the coming year, marking a historic milestone in the effort to fulfill Jesus’ command to “make disciples of every nation.”
Christ for All Nations’ (CfaN) Lead Evangelist Daniel Kolenda spent a week ministering in Panama with fellow-Evangelists, Todd White, Tom Ruotolo and the Power & Love Team. The week consisted of multiple street-evangelism outreaches. Each day, hundreds of student-volunteers brought the truth of God’s love expressed through Jesus to the people walking by. Many miracles and salvations were reported.
Tractor-trailer rigs roared overhead. Cigarette smoke wafted in the air as a praise band played drums and electric guitars on a stage set up amid tall concrete columns. On the Sunday (Nov. 18) before Thanksgiving, poor people riding bicycles and pushing old grocery carts lined up—as they do every week—to eat and worship God underneath Interstate 35.
The international ministry Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is using models built of LEGO® bricks as a tool to build community relationships with families while teaching children the Word of God. The CEF workers partner with local church volunteers by providing the popular building blocks, figures and instructions so the children can create a variety of buildings and vehicles, and by teaching the Bible program. The local church provides the helpers to sit and build with the children.
