READ Initiative Will Continue into 2017

As a part of the FINISH Commitment, Timothy M. Hill, General Overseer of the Church of God, has announced that the daily scripture reading program–READ Initiative– will continue into this year as READ 2017. This daily Bible reading program coincides with the FINISH Commitment and the goal of global scripture distribution.

The READ Initiative was first launched in 2013 and allows subscribers to read through the entire Bible in one year. Rather than a straight read-through starting with Genesis, daily emails include scriptures from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs.
Thousands have participated in past years and thousands more have signed up already for 2017.
It is not too late to sign up. If you desire to receive or continue to receive the daily email of scriptures, please go to www.churchofgod.org/read2017 and simply sign up with your name and email address.

The 2017 READ Initiative incorporates the new Modern English Version translation recently released by Charisma Media. You can learn more about this translation or purchase hard copies of the MEV Bible at www.modernenglishversion.com.

General Overseer Hill says, “May God bless you as you partner in the FINISH Commitment by reading the entire Bible throughout the year.”
