Latin American Emphasis Goes Global

In keeping with the Latin America emphasis of One Day-One Million people, Church of God Field Director of Latin America David Ramirez received a report from Regional Superintendent of Central America Otoniel Collins.

CELEBRATION OF SOLIDARITY DAY

October 24, 2015, was set aside as a day to celebrate what God is doing through this initiative. Excitement permeated the atmosphere at the realization the initiative became global this past year because their missionaries to Senegal, Africa, participated with the youth and children’s ministries, touching their communities.

SOCIAL ACTION

The goal of the initiative is through social action … 10,000 churches who are touching the lives of 100 people per church, an affect which will total one million people. Central American countries impacted are Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.

ACTIVITIES TO BRING ABOUT RESPONSE TO THE GOSPEL

* Assisting Children’s Orphanages, Nursing Homes, Hospital, and providing a Feeding Center
* Cleaning Streets, Plaza, and Public Areas
* Donating Blood at Hospitals
* Painting, Remodeling, and Maintenance at Schools
* Food and Clothes Distribution
* Reforestation Work
* School Supplies Distribution
* Repairing Streets and Avenues
* Ministering to the Police Department
* Wellness: Showers, Haircuts, Dentists and Doctors, and Mobile Clinics
* Evangelism: Children’s Programs, Campaigns, and Prayer Walks

The Latin America initiative has taken on a monumental task, but the residuals are enormous. They have made a strong effort in the winning of One Day-One Million people!

World Missions Director Dr. Tim Hill and Assistant Director Dr. John D. Childers commend the Latin America leadership and constituency on making great strides in evangelizing the world through God’s leading, diligence, and prayer.
