Fall Issue of ‘Engage’ Released Today
The General Overseer’s Office and Church of God Communications has released the fall 2014 issue of Engage. The 60-page document is available exclusively online.
This issue contains valuable information for the pastor, pastoral staff and anyone active in the local church. Within its pages, available at the Church of God website or directly at www.cogengage.org, are informative articles with such titles as The Emerging Church, The Value of Expository Preaching, and Training Laity to Help the Pastor. Pastor Terry Harris submitted an article on the growing trend of pastoring in the same neighborhood of a mosque. There is an article dealing with the latest on a case headed soon to the high courts on ministers and housing allowance, as well as a legal column, which in this issue, deals with church daycare. There is also a report on the recent 75th Church of God General Assembly held July 25-August 1 in Orlando, Florida.
