National Religious Liberties Conference Scheduled

The Supreme Court of the United States has spoken: “Gay” marriage is the law of the land. Chief Justice John Roberts’ words in the minority report ring ominously: “Unfortunately, people of faith can take no comfort in the treatment they receive from the majority today.”

Richard Arnold Associates of Philadelphia, PA recently announced the establishing of the African American Gospel Hall of Fame (AAGMHOF) has been created a non-profit entity under the federal guidelines.

Understanding the Biblical Hebrew You Read, Preach or Use in Prayers

North Central Theological Seminary (NCTS) announces a three-month, intensive course of study in Old Testament Hebrew. Sections will be 45-minutes long, twice a week, and will be available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. The sections will be live videoconferencing, with time at the end of each study for questions and answers. According to Prof. Brink, “Enrollees will not be getting bogged down in a lot of details of grammar, but will enjoy learning the names and sounds of the Hebrew alphabet so as to read and pronounce Hebrew words. The sections will focus on key words and phrases from the Old Testament: names for God, the concepts and teachings about the glory of the Lord, atonement, covenant, righteousness, sin and holiness.”

Church of God Official Statement on Same-Sex Marriage Ruling

The following is a statement released late Friday, June 26, 2015, the same day the Supreme Court of the United States issued a 5-4 ruling legalizing same sex marriage. The statement was issued by Church of God General Overseer Mark L. Williams and is posted on the Church of God website with a link to a 2012 resolution on marriage and the family:

Chief Justice Gives Ominous Warning on Marriage & Faith

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) is repulsed by the Supreme Court’s decision last week to undermine the institution of marriage by imposing “gay marriage” nationwide. Moreover, taking note of Chief Justice John Roberts’ dissenting opinion, NRB is concerned about the Court’s intentions for the clearly delineated guarantee in the U.S. Constitution that citizens may freely exercise their religion.
