Todd Bentley is not exactly your grandmother’s evangelist, but that didn’t stop grandmothers from lining up to get prayer from the 32-year-old preacher last week when he opened his 14th straight night of revival meetings in Lakeland, Fla.

Leaders of the Church of God Theological Seminary and World Missions teamed up this week to celebrate the annual Seminary Missions Week, turning the spotlight on the missions calling of the church.

I made two new friends this week during a trip to South America. The first boy’s name is Levin. He was sleeping on a sidewalk near a shopping mall in Guayaquil, Ecuador’s largest city, when I turned a corner and saw his frail body curled up against a wall.

All Church of God retired ministers and widows are invited to attend three days of exciting fun, entertainment and fellowship at the Retired Ministers and Widows Conference to be held on the Lee University campus and the North Cleveland Church of God. The conference, which is held every two years, is free to all retired ministers and widows who register.
