The National Pastors and Prison Ministry Workers Conference, originally scheduled for March 10-11, 2011 has been postponed until October 6-7, 2011 and will be held at the Westmore Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.
“Turning Setbacks Into Comebacks” is the theme for the conference which has been sponsored for several years by USA Missions, formerly the Evangelism and Home Missions Department.
Dr. Tim Hill, assistant general overseer and director of the Division of World Evangelization for the Church of God stated that during the conference, USA Missions will unveil, “new and innovative strategies for enhancing this vital ministry of our church.”
Keynote speaker for the two-day conference will be General Overseer Raymond Culpepper. Also on the agenda is Tommy Farmer, director of the State of Tennessee’s Meth Task Force who will make a presentation on Meth ID and awareness. Workshops slated for October 7 will include such topics as “Inmate Reform,” “Why Begin A Prison Ministry,” “Chaplain Certification,” and “Changing Lives Through: Project New start.”
A small registration fee will cover all workshops and general sessions, as well as lunch on Friday and admittance to all exhibits.
