Dr. Steven J. Land, President of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary since 2002, has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS). ATS is the primary national accrediting body for Seminaries in the United States and Canada. With over 250 member seminaries, ATS accredits masters and doctoral programs.
The ATS Board is charged with monitoring the highest standards for academic scholarship and ministerial preparation among member institutions. ATS institutions include seminaries from a number of academic and Christian backgrounds including the largest and well known seminaries in the U.S. and Canada, as well as seminaries seeking initial acceptance as an ATS recognized seminary. The Pentecostal Theological Seminary has been a member of ATS since 1986. It is approved to offer masters and doctoral programs on the main campus and online.
