The Church of God in Uruguay just celebrated 40 years of ministry during its National Convention.
The event was held in Montevideo with the theme “In the Power of the Spirit.” The special guest was Rev. Victor Pagan, field director of South America. Delegates from all over the country participated, joining hundreds of members from the capital who came at night to experience the night services.
The pioneer missionary for the Church of God in Uruguay was Rev. Jose Minay, who along with a group of national pastors organized the Church of God in this South American country.
This nation that was once characterized by the atheism and Gnosticism of its people has about 50 churches today.
The Church of God—and churches in general—are growing a great deal at this time. Rev. Alcides Morales is the national overseer.
