Missionary Orientation Conducted at International Offices

July 14-16 was three days of intense orientation followed by a commissioning service with General Director Roland Vaughan preaching. Missionaries were anointed with oil by Vaughan, General Overseer G. Dennis McGuire, and former General Overseer Ray H. Hughes, Sr. and prayed for by staff and guests.

The orientation was conducted in the Communications Center of the International Offices and included classes on policy, procedures, family guidelines, resources and spiritual warfare by World Missions staff and departmental personnel. Guests Charles and Mary Hollifield provided resources and training on personality traits and development.

“I am now preparing to fulfill a call God gave me as a child,” commented Cristen Chamberlain. Waneda Brownlow spoke of her return to the mission field where she has already spent over 20 years. Forty new missionaries are being sent to the field. The new missionaries were grateful for the training, materials, and contacts. They will enable them to be more effective for the Kingdom of God as they go to Africa, Asia, Central and South America.

Please pray for all of our missionaries and support them financially as they endeavor to obey God’s call on their life.
