The School of Ministry of the Church of God offers programs of study for ministers unable to earn degrees via traditional on-campus enrollment.
Many ministers are discovering the value of the Certificate in Ministerial Studies – or CIMS program offered through the Church of God School of Ministry. CIMS consists of 20 courses, offering 35 credits. While CIMS is open to any qualified applicant, the program was designed for ministers who hold Church of God credentials or who have been set forth for ministry by a local church.
Through the CIMS program, students acquire Biblical, doctrinal, and pastoral ministry knowledge that enables them to be more effective in ministry, whether they serve in a pastoral, assistant or other ministry capacity. Many pastors have discovered the value of using the CIMS courses to disciple their laity in Bible, doctrine, and pastoral ministry. In addition, many have transferred their CIMS credits to the Internet Degree Program (IDP), which offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Leadership with concentrations in ministry (pastoral) leadership, counseling leadership, music/worship leadership, and youth ministry leadership.
Anyone interested in learning more about the CIMS or IDP programs may call the School of Ministry at 877-344-0488 for information or visit the web site at www.ministerialtraining.org.
