People for Care and Learning Dedicate Park

CLEVELAND, TN–Robert D. and Clara Pace as well as William T. and Nelda George were recently honored with the dedication of a mini-park on the Cleveland/Bradley County Greenway located near the Church of God International Offices.

The mini-park was funded by People for Care and Learning, a benevolent agency founded upon the principles of “inspiring hope and empowering potential.”

Dr. Fred Garmon, executive director of People for Care and Learning spearheaded the project and said, “I cannot think of two individuals who better embody the principles of inspiring hope and empowering potential. Bob Pace and Bill George, along with their spouses, have set an example of integrity and leadership to hundreds, if not thousands of individuals over the course of their ministries. We are pleased to honor them in a public place where people can enjoy a time of relaxation and respite as they use the greenway.”

Bob and Clara Pace are founders of Men and Women of Action and People for Care and Learning, two agencies dedicated to service and loving action and an entrepreneurial spirit in the service of Christ. According to Garmon, the Paces have dedicated their lives in unselfish service to others, setting an example to all who know them.”

Bill and Nelda George – ministers, educators, and trainers – have dedicated their lives to mentoring and encouraging young people from the pulpit, in college classrooms, by writing books, and serving on the field of action. “They have touched the lives of thousands, inspiring them to similar attitudes of altruistic service,” Garmon said.

The mini-park consists of a small sidewalk, a plaque pedestal and two benches which are standard to the Greenway along the 2-mile pathway which passes in front of the International Offices along Keith Street. The greenway is connected to the headquarters campus via two sidewalks which invite greenway users to visit the Church of God prayer plaza.
