Hope in the Night Partners with American Family Radio

HOPE FOR THE HEART’s late- night live 2-hour call-in counseling program called HOPE IN THE NIGHT has begun airing on a network of nearly 130 radio outlets owned and operated by American Family Radio. HOPE FOR THE HEART produces 2 popular daily radio programs: the 25- minute, magazine-style format HOPE FOR THE HEART, as well as HOPE IN THE NIGHT. The ministry also publishes written materials to help people discover God’s Truth for Today’s Problems.

“HOPE IN THE NIGHT will be an integral part of the AFR Talk format and will be carried on a network of powerful FM radio facilities in cities and communities representing 30 states,” stated Burt Perrault, HOPE FOR THE HEART’s Director of Broadcast Ministry. “The total number of HOPE IN THE NIGHT affiliates will increase from 119 outlets to 250, with minimal impact to the ministry’s media budget.”

Stations will be broadcasting AFR Talk, a newly launched news/talk format that features a mix of live talk programs and biblical teaching. American Family Radio is a division of the American Family Association (originally National Federation for Decency) founded in 1977 by Donald E. Wildmon to “represent and stand for traditional family values.” AFR is well-known for a variety of excellent print, radio, and online news resources, which will now be readily available for providing valuable and timely content to new network listeners.

“We are honored to be a partner with American Family Radio,” stated veteran program host June Hunt– founder, CEO & CSO (Chief Servant Officer) of HOPE FOR THE HEART. “As more people tune in to HOPE IN THE NIGHT, they will discover live biblical counsel couched in love and compassion. Our outreach with AFR will help people to find biblical hope and practical help, especially in these tough economic times.”
