The Church of God Division of World Evangelization is pleased to announce the release of the new book, “Beyond the Mist- A Quest for Authentic Revival.” Tim Hill, Divisional Liaison and Assistant General Overseer of the Church of God, is the author.
Hill said, “The book is 35 years in the making. Its theme and content reflect the burden I’ve carried for revival authenticity throughout my ministry.” In the foreword, well-known evangelist and Church of God minister Perry Stone states, “Beyond the Mist is more than a book. It is the cry of a church leader and the prayer of a pastor. We have the choice of living in a ‘mist’ of mediocrity or flourishing in a ‘river’ of revival. This book makes plain what the choice must be.”
Divided into 12 chapters and including a study guide, the book is crafted so that each chapter can be taught in weekly bible studies, small groups or used by pastors in a series of sermons promoting renewal and revival in the local church. Hill said, “I especially wanted to write a book that laity along with pastors could utilize. I approached this challenge with our wonderful laity in mind.” Supplemental materials are being offered as well including the “Beyond the Mist” sermon resource along with the companion, chapter by chapter power point visual CD.
The publication of this book coincides with the annual “Revival” emphasis sponsored by the Department of Evangelism and Home Missions. The 192-page book can be utilized as an excellent resource, devotional and teaching guide during the entire emphasis.
