The Full Gospel Church in India is preparing for an outreach ministry among slum dwellers in Fraser Town during this very special season. There are 128 families, around 850 people in all, literally living on the street. Not a soul has accepted the gospel, some of them deeply involved in witchcraft. Many of the people practice soothsaying as a profession. Most of their children are malnourished and do not go to school.
Many of the homes in the slums are on the footpaths, made of plastic sheets covered over poles. This probably will be the first time these people are going to hear the gospel. The church would like to provide them with blankets and a good meal during this outreach program. Though they are very poor and in need, Satan has bound them.
This is a good opportunity for the church to conduct an outreach program, as all other means of sharing the gospel in public have been unofficially prohibited. This will also be an opportunity for the church to show its responsibility to the poor and needy. We ask for your prayers.
