Gather a Ripe Harvest

Can the Great Commissions still be accomplished? Yes, it can! Many sprinters stop when they realize the finish line is in view, but there is still a race to get there.

Today, we face obstacles of natural disasters, social upheaval, moral decline, religious confusion and financial instability. We battle a culture of tolerance. To evangelize the world’s unreached requires a change of priorities, an adjustment of budgets, a shifting of personnel and a new harvest mindset.

Oswald J. Smith once said, “The mission of the church is missions. If God wills the evangelization of the world and you refuse to support missions, you are opposed to the will of God.”

Some ideas for your church to reach the unreached:

• Adopt an unreached people group and pray for them.
• Gather information about that people group to know the needs.
• Consider sending a small team to that area for a prayer walk.
• Develop a strategy on how to reach those in need.
• Partner with other groups near that unreached people group.
• Advance with your plans.

The Great Commission is not an option to consider, but a command to obey.

We have the power; we have the resources; do we have the will? Do we have the commitment? Are we willing to pay the price?

We have the chance to gather a ripe harvest.
