The Church of God’s Operation Compassion is making an appeal to individuals, churches and organizations to respond to the recent floods which have devastated the Philippines and the United States.
Separated by more than 10,000 miles two very different parts of the world are recovering from devastating floods. For a couple of weeks, the Philippines have been dealing with rising flood waters and recovery after receiving a month’s rainfall in only two days. Hundreds of people are without housing, food and fresh drinking water. Operation Compassion’s Disaster Network has responded but the need is growing daily.
In Atlanta, GA severe flooding has left people homeless and in need of further assistance. Delivery of 6 semis was a start in the recovery but workers on the ground are calling for more. Many of the areas flooded have not seen rising water in more than 60 years and other areas have never flooded.
In trying to respond to these very serious situations, Operation Compassion is appealing for more financial supporters. Helping Operation Compassion with $10 of support means that $880 worth of goods are being distributed. Where can you invest your money, see it grow so rapidly and help your neighbor at the same time? Call, write or visit our Web site to donate now!
