The Young Adult/Single Adult Ministries of the Church of God invites young adults, singles and single-again adults to enjoy the 3rd International Cruise scheduled for this fall.
According to the US census Bureau, the population of unmarried adults of all ages in America is 44% (97 million), with the percentage being up to 52% in major cities. The largest household population is single adults living alone. The Church of God and Assemblies of God Young Adult/Single Adult Ministries have joined together to reach and minister to adults of all ages on November 2-7, 2009 on their 3rd annual Christian Cruise.
People From Many Countries
Last year’s cruise drew 380 participants from the Church of God, Assemblies of God, Church of God of Prophecy, and many other Christian groups and ministries. “We’ve had people from South Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, USA and Canada from 19 to 65 years of age,” states Dennis Franck, AG Director of Young Adult/Single Adult Ministries. The cruise gives people an opportunity to experience a fun, healthy vacation packed with activities that target their interests. Unmarried adults often do not take a good vacation because they do not know who to go with. This creates great opportunities to meet and establish friendships with hundreds of Christian adults from around the world.

How it All Started
Daniel Vassell, Church of God director, and Dennis Franck, AG director, established a relationship 5 years ago when Dennis spoke at the national Church of God training conference for single adult ministries in Cleveland, TN. The idea to sponsor an annual cruise to attract young adults and single adults came out of this event and relationship. Since then, Daniel and Dennis have sponsored five leadership training events around the country designed to train existing and potential leaders to reach single adults.
The cruise will set sail from Miami, FL on Monday, Nov. 2 and return on Saturday, Nov 7. During these 6 days, cruisers will visit Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and the Grand Caymen islands in the Caribbean. Sun, surf, sand, music, food, fun, teaching, worship, prayer, and spiritual growth will be the main ingredients of this exciting cruise!
