Chryssie and I want to pass on this inspiring story of a miracle healing that recently happened in the Shuar Indian area of Ecuador. We had a medical group from VIMM come down in March. I would like to pass along this remarkable report about the work of the Lord for Señora Martha who had breast cancer.
Our lead worker in the Shuar outreach, Miller Gonzalez, was helping a VIMM medical group in the Amazon area of Ecuador. After the group left he was scheduled to do some follow-up work in two Shuar communities. When he drove past the house of Señora Martha her husband stopped him. The husband was very happy and related the following: “Bro. Miller my wife is healed and her tumors are gone.”
It was Sunday morning when Miller returned from his work in the Shuar communities and was able to hear the whole story from Señora Martha herself.
Martha’s Testimony
Miller relates: I was sitting at the table with Martha, her husband and little daughter when she gave the exact details. She said that when she came to the medical clinic she was in much pain. “The American black doctor saw me and when I was examined I had a lot of pain. I thought within myself that I would not go back since it was painful to have the examination.
“Bro. Guillermo invited me that night for prayer. I went but when they prayed I had even more pain. That night about midnight I had a dream. I dreamed that the lead doctor (Dr. Keith Scott) and the black doctor were standing before me and saying: ‘Have faith; God is going to heal you. Now you are healed.’ I woke up and had to go to the bathroom urgently. After some time I noticed I no longer had pain, the swelling and the bruising were gone. I examined myself carefully and could feel that I was healed and ran to tell my husband. We woke our daughter Antonita to tell her that I was healed. We all gave thanks to God.”
Everyone wanted Chryssie and me to thank the medical group and to pass this on to other partners in our work here in Ecuador. This family has recommitted their lives to serve the Lord. They want to have a cell group in their home and do more to show their thanks to God for this miraculous healing. May God richly bless all of the workers of VIMM that travel all over the world and share their faith and medical skills.
