Decision Point Confronts America’s Cultural Lies

In a culture that promises freedom but delivers anxiety, confusion and emptiness, Decision Point is urging believers to stand in courage, conviction and commitment. For over twenty years, Decision Point has become one of the most transformative student movements in America, equipping young believers to boldly proclaim the gospel on their campuses. To date, more than 17,000 students have come to faith as a result.

Now, in their new book, SET FREE (Decision Point, October 28, 2025), Decision Point President & CEO, Mark Hopson, and Northern Ireland-based content creator, Pastor Jamie Bambrick, confront the cultural lies shaping today’s generation and reveal the only enduring truth that sets people free—Jesus Christ. The book traces how young people are carrying the message of hope into a world defined by false promises and shifting identity.

Featuring seven powerful real-life testimonies, SET FREE exposes the emptiness of modern “freedom” built on self-definition. These stories—viewed millions of times on social media and YouTube through Decision Point’s SET FREE Stories initiative—reveal how Christ transforms lives once bound by cultural lies. The book addresses head-on the fault-lines of atheism, pornography, homosexuality, transgenderism, social justice, abortion, Islam and more, ultimately pointing readers to the one unchanging hope found in Christ.

“In a world shouting that freedom means doing whatever feels right, we hope that readers will rediscover the truth that Jesus is the only way,” says Hopson. “We want people to experience the kind of freedom that doesn’t fade with feelings or trends, but transforms their lives from the inside out.”

Bambrick first captured international attention with his viral 2024 video, “The Christian Super Bowl Ad They Should Have Made.” Following its widespread impact, Decision Point partnered with Bambrick to expand the message of truth and freedom. Now, many of the individuals featured in that viral video are the personal stories shared within the pages of the book.

Part story collection, part discipleship guide, SET FREE is designed not only for personal reading but also for small groups and church leaders, and as a gift for those exploring faith. This resource equips readers to engage cultural issues with both clarity and compassion, guiding them beyond mere critique to transformation rooted in truth.
