New Book Examines Generational Shift in Leadership and Discipleship
Cleveland, TN — In his new book, Turn: A Manual on Mentoring, Bishop Rob Bailey, Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Texas, delivers a powerful call for believers to embrace the transformative power of mentorship.
Published by Church of God Publications/Pathway Press, this timely resource equips leaders, pastors, and everyday believers to invest in others with humility, compassion, and purpose.
Drawing from Scripture, real-life experience, and years of ministry leadership, Bishop Bailey explores what it means to “turn” one’s heart toward God and toward others. From Malachi’s prophetic call for generational reconciliation to Jesus’ cross-cultural mentoring model, Turn highlights how spiritual growth and revival begin when hearts realign with God’s purpose.
“Before we can lead others, we must first turn,” writes Bailey. “Mentorship begins in the heart—it’s about transformation, not transaction.”
Throughout Turn: A Manual on Mentoring, readers will find practical tools, reflective prayers, and biblical insight that guide them through the full mentoring journey—from cultivating teachability to bridging cultural divides and finishing well. The book challenges leaders to build relationships that transcend titles, generations, and backgrounds, fostering a legacy of Christlike mentorship that continues long after the mentor’s lifetime.
