‘Between Sundays’ Podcast Reaching Millions Around the Globe

Cleveland, TN—A new podcast released earlier this year featuring Church of God leaders and pastors has garnered millions of views and downloads around the world.

Hosting the podcast is Church of God General Overseer Gary Lewis. He is joined by Third Assistant General Overseer and former pastor of North Cleveland Church of God Mark Williams, and veteran pastors Loran Livingston from Central Church in Charlotte, N.C., and David Cooper, senior pastor of Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta.

The format features a casual setting with the theme “offstage conversations about real life and ministry.” It is set in a living room atmosphere where trust and respect between the four church leaders is reflected in their friendly banter and frequent storytelling. Guests feel comfortable in sharing their journey of church planting, pastoral challenges, and leadership principles.

The inaugural episode of Between Sundays was released in March and more than a dozen episodes have been released since. Special guests have been church planters, missionaries, small church pastors, and others who have offered unique perspectives on virtually every aspect of ministry. Live recordings of the podcast have also been the focal point of events this year including the “We Gather” pastors retreats that have so far been held in Dallas and Baltimore. Atlanta is set for this weekend (Sept. 5-6) and Cincinnati on September 19 and 20.
On September 4, several episodes of the podcast were recorded featuring the spouses of the four primary hosts. Barbie Cooper, Lori Lewis, Sandra Livingston, and Sandra Kay Williams joined their husbands to discuss the challenges and rewards of raising families in the ministry spotlight. The recordings took place at Mount Paran in Atlanta and will be released later this year.

“By far, the most requested podcast topic has been for our spouses to join us,” Gary Lewis stated at the beginning of the September 4 recording. “Since we started the podcast, I have had so many people say how much they have enjoyed it. They have been from around the world and of all ages.”

Episodes of Between Sundays are available on the Church of God YouTube and Facebook channels (@COGHQ). It is also available on Apple and Spotify platforms, or wherever you download your favorite podcasts. Episodes have been announced on social media, with release dates approximately every two weeks.
