Nations Church: Offering Life and Hope to Central Florida

Nations Church, the nearly one-year-old church plant in Central Florida hit the streets of Orlando over Easter weekend for a city-wide evangelism campaign. The team of 75 staff and volunteers gave away 18,000 Easter eggs, scooters, hoverboards, and Easter baskets. They had free face painting, bounce houses and a Easter Egg Hunt. They also had song and dance, and most importantly the preaching of the Gospel. The family friendly event had over 2,300 in attendance and all in all, the outreach has been considered a huge success.

Everywhere the team went, locals and tourists alike were overwhelmed with the love of God and generosity of the church. One of the key organizers of the event, Evangelist Joe Turnbull said of the day, “We see fields in Africa filled and we will begin to see them filled right here in Orlando.”

The story of Nations Church starts in 1974 with the ministry of Christ for all Nations (CfaN), an evangelistic ministry founded by Missionary Evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke. For nearly 50 years CfaN has been at forefront of the crusade evangelism, and more than 83-million people have chosen to make Jesus the Lord of their lives as a direct result of its ministry. At Evangelist Bonnke’s farewell crusade in Lagos, Nigeria in 2017, he officially and publicly appointed Evangelist Daniel Kolenda as his successor. Now, under Evangelist Kolenda’s leadership, CfaN has not only launched a center for training and launching evangelists, he has also planted Nations Church. Nations Church is a modern-day Antioch for these evangelists and their families, a true hub for global ministry. It is a thriving local church that is set on reaching the neighborhoods of Central Florida with the same Gospel power that’s shaking the nations.
