Smoky Mountain Gathering Set

After two years of cancellations, the 30th anniversary celebration of the Smoky Mountain Gathering: Reaching a Jubilee Generation will take place on April 26-28, 2022.

Set in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, the Gathering will take place at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Most of the favored traditions of past gatherings will be part of next year’s event, including lots of fellowship, singing, and displays of talent.

According to Dusty Wilson, coordinator of the SMG, guest artists who were originally scheduled to appear in April 2020 before it was cancelled due to the pandemic, have all agreed to return to the event. Musical guests include the New Speer Family, the Martins, and guitarist Doyle Dykes. Comedian Dennis Swanberg will also be present, as well as keynote speaker General Overseer Dr. Tim Hill.

A special website that gives all details, such as bios on special speakers, hotel information, talent participation information, optional events, and registration is available at www.smokymountaingathering.com.

A special “early bird” registration rate of $70 is available for anyone who signs up before October 31.

“We are looking forward to finally being able to come together after two years of cancellations,” Wilson stated. “The Smoky Mountain Gathering has such a rich heritage in the Church of God and next year’s 30th anniversary program promises to be the best ever.”
