Camp Meeting Season Launches in Full This Week

After a year of virtually no camp meeting gatherings due to Covid-19 restrictions, the 2021 season begins in earnest this week with seven states/regions holding the summer staple event of the Church of God.

Alabama begins this evening with nightly speakers of Secretary General John Childers, Barry Clardy, Bill Lee, and Mark Williams through Friday. Jerry Madden is the Bible teacher. In South Georgia, morning Bible speakers are Mike Reynolds, and Kevin and Amy McGlamery. In successive evening services starting tonight through Thursday are General Overseer Tim Hill, Samuel Rodriguez, and Tommy Bates. In the Midlands Region, morning Bible teacher, Rick Stigile, will be followed by evening speakers Tim Hill and Rob Bailey.

In Mississippi, their camp meeting began yesterday and will run through Thursday, Bible teachers include David Smith, James McIntyre, Sr., and Rhonda Holland. Evening speakers include Tim Hill, Raymond Culpepper, J. David Stephens, and Brian McDonald.

The final two camp meetings of this week will be in New Mexico where the state will stage their gathering in Albuquerque and feature evening speakers Rudy Bond and J. David Stephens, along with various morning speakers. Southwest Indian Ministries (SWIM) will be hosted in Gallup and welcome David Renfro in the morning, and John Childers and Tom Tapley in the evening.

The month of June is traditionally the busiest month for camp meetings. To see a complete schedule of dates, locations, and speakers as reported to the International Offices, visit churchofgod.org and click on the camp meeting graphic.
