Black History Awareness Observance This Week

Cleveland, TN–Church of God Intercultural Advancement Ministries (IAM) is partnering with the Pentecostal Theological Seminary to present two services dedicated to Black History Awareness.

Doyle Scott, director of IAM, is coordinating the services, which will be conducted virtually via Facebook Live (DP Scott) and/or Zoom on Thursday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST. The one-day event features two dynamic speakers and is themed, “Committed to the Harvest: Help – Health – Hope.”

Scheduled to speak at the 11:00 a.m. service is Rev. Raymond Burch, administrative bishop for the Church of God in New Jersey. Bishop Dr. R.C. Hugh Nelson, pastor of the East Flatbush Church of God in Brooklyn, N.Y., will be the featured speaker of the evening service.

Intercultural Advancement Ministries is dedicated to be intentional about how to approach intercultural ministry advancement, suggesting strategies that support inclusivity through varied evangelism and discipleship strategies and activities, and identifying collaborative ministry opportunities within the Church of God, with other denominations and with the community. Under the umbrella of Mission North America, it includes Black Ministries, Portuguese Ministries, and Multicultural Ministries.
