Cleveland, TN—The technology of Zoom brought state and regional overseers, youth directors, and international offices leaders together for the biennial Leadership Conference. Many state offices joined the online conference as groups, including members of their office staffs.
The day-long virtual event was filled with helpful information, resources, reports, and inspirational speakers, including Leonard Sweet, Ed Stetzer, and Mark Rutland. Speakers were live on the Zoom call and interacted with the delegates in a Q&A session.
Moderated by General Overseer Tim Hill, members of the International Executive Committee made presentations throughout the day as well relative to the divisions over which they serve as liaisons. Previews of several new initiatives and programs were announced that will be rolling out in the next few weeks despite the setbacks posed by COVID-19.
Five distinct sessions were titled Concepts and Resources, Crucial Times, Critical Presence, Confident Leaders and Committed Vision.
The Leadership Conference concluded late afternoon with an address and prayer from General Overseer Hill and he invited all participants to tune in to the Facebook Live “Global Celebration” that night where Hill will cast his vision for the next two years in a message entitled, “The Church on Mission.” Special live musical guests will be Jason Crabb and the Voices of Lee. The Global Celebration will be broadcast on Facebook Live @COGHQ starting at 7:30 p.m.
