Pastor Appreciation Day, an annual event meant to honor the senior pastor of a local church, is set for Sunday, April 26, 2020.
To assist those in charge of honoring the pastor and family, Church of God Adult Discipleship offers a number of event-specific resources to have a well-organized, celebratory Pastor Appreciation Day. This year the materials are themed with the slogan, “Stand With Your Pastor in Prayer, the Great Commission and Trust
O. Wayne Brewer, director of Adult Discipleship for the Church of God, stated that the ministry offering a free downloadable Pastor Appreciation Sunday sermon. In addition, the website contains several other resources ready for the local congregation. These include Love Gift envelopes, themed church bulletin inserts, hall posters, bookmarks, ‘Praying for Your Pastor’ cards and a complete ‘Pastor Appreciation Book of Ideas.’
