Agree ’20 Will Feature ‘Global Communion’

Church of God General Overseer Tim Hill has announced and is calling for participation in a unique “Global Communion” event where believers can join in an online partaking of the Lord’s Supper. The Global Communion service will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8 and will be the climactic event of the three-day Agree ’20 prayer convocation, which will take place from the International Offices campus January 6-8, 2020.

Agree ’20 begins on Monday, January 6, 2020, a day after the first event of the new year, Declaration of Faith Sunday on January 5. This is the fourth year for Agree, following events in 2017, 2018, and 2019 which were held at the same time of the year.

“Agree has become a staple for the International Offices family as we take the time every morning on those three days to call upon the Lord,” Hill stated. “What better way to dedicate and consecrate the works of our hands than through prayer.”

The morning sessions begin at 10:30 EST and feature a different keynote speaker and musical guests (see graphic). In addition, there will be evening sessions that feature a variety of guests and prayer activities. The evening sessions begin at 7:00 EST. Tentative guests, interviews, and prayer for the evening sessions will include Men and Women of Action, Operation Compassion, Mission North America and emphases on World Evangelization and the Jeremiah Generation. Special music will be provided by the Evangelistic Singers and Angie Primm. General Overseer Hill also will be giving updates on the worldwide reach of the 40-week #wepraycog prayer initiative, of which Agree ’20 is one of the signature events.

Anyone living or traveling to Cleveland, Tennessee is invited to participate in all sessions at the Leadership and Communications Center. All services, both morning and evening, will be livestreamed to allow for worldwide participation, including the global communion service.
