Charisma House and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) announce an exciting new development in their strategic distribution partnership with Superbook, CBN’s animated videos that bring the Bible to life for children. Starting this fall, Charisma House will publish companion storybooks using the same beautiful artwork from the popular animation series. The Superbook storybooks will engage younger children while teaching timeless moral truths and life lessons through the captivating, Bible-based adventures of two time-traveling children and their robot friend.
CBN created the original Superbook series in 1981 as an outreach to Japan, and the videos quickly became a global phenomenon. After Superbook was freshly reimagined for a new generation of children in 2009, CBN joined forces with Charisma House to make the DVDs available in retail.
CBN CEO Gordon Robertson explains, “Superbook not only tells the stories of the Bible in ways that today’s kids can easily understand—it also disciples children in their faith, teaching them how to apply God’s Word to their lives today. We’re delighted to reach even more children at younger ages by adding these new storybooks to the Superbook universe.”
With nearly forty years of gospel heritage built through the Superbook brand, CBN and Charisma House considered it to be the perfect time to expand the series’ far-reaching influence.
