Church of God World Missions will once again make an appeal to churches and individuals for the Christ’s Birthday Offering, an annual appeal at Christmas, asking donors to send an offering in the amount of the year (e.g., $20.19) that Church of God World Missions uses for emergency situations.
Thanks to the donors who sent in support through the Christ’s Birthday Offering in years past, money has been sent around the globe by World Missions for various aspects of disaster and humanitarian relief.
“It’s hard to believe that we are already halfway through summer,” stated World Missions director Dr. David Griffis. “God has truly blessed the efforts of Church of God World Missions this year and we could not reach around the world in ministry without partnerships!”
Griffis encourages churches and pastors to look ahead and to please keep Christ’s Birthday Offering in mind when making plans for fall and holiday planning and promotions. “Help us make sure Christ Birthday is celebrated all year as assistance from these funds provide clean water, shelter, medicine and food to hurting people in need following natural disasters.”
