The Ministry to the Military (MTTM) is very fruitful in its use of the Ministerial Internship Program (MIP). This year, the MTTM had several complete the MIP and are moving into another phase of ministry.
- Charlie (U.S. Army Sergeant Major) and Kathy Bryant are two years into planting a MTTM center outside Fort Gordon, Georgia. The Bryants were supervised by Vernon Johnson.
- Danny (a U.S. Navy veteran) and Emma Triscas are associate directors of the center in Kaiserlautern, Germany. The Triscas were supervised by Wade Miller.
- John (Staff Sergeant) and Kellene Tolbert, a Marine Corps couple, are going to the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) in Iwakuni, Japan, to start a MTTM center.
- Joshua (Petty Officer First Class) and Ashley Keck are awaiting naval orders and intend to plant a center where they will be stationed.
- Tonya Goff (U.S. Navy Petty Officer), who retires this year, plans to return to the United States to finish her master’s degree in counseling and then return to Europe to minister as a center director.
The Tolberts, Kecks, and Tonya Goff were supervised by Andrew and Rhonda Provasek in Signonella, Sicily.
“Dr. Robert Moore, director of the MTTM, and Wade Miller, the state MIP coordinator to the MTTM, are very innovative in training the MIP candidates and spouses,” stated Dr. Donald Bennett. “They often conduct the monthly seminars via video conferences around the world. Sometimes, they have candidates in Asia, Europe, and North America, and they bring the candidates together through video conferencing. This is just one of the examples of the advancements that MTTM has used to prepare servicemen and women to go into the ministry.”
The Church of God Division of Education welcomed over 1,000 graduates to the 2019 MIP Commissioning weekend earlier this month.
