Church of God Adult Discipleship is partnering with the Religious Alliance Against Pornography (R.A.A.P.), co-sponsoring a live FREE webinar entitled Hope & Healing – Helping Leaders Assist Those Struggling With Pornography. The webinar will take place this coming Thursday, May 16 at noon EDT and on Tuesday, May 21 at 8:00 p.m. EDT.
“Porn is a tsunami plaguing all denominations of the church and is a crisis that has already struck and believers must act now,” said Rick Kardos, co-founder of the Nathan Project, which ministers to the sexually broken. Kardos, along with Nick Stumbo, Executive Director of Pure Desire will be presenting the one-hour free webinar.
“With 47% of families in the United States reporting that pornography is a problem in their home and with the realization that porn destroys marriages, families, and the soul of its users, the time is now for pastors, youth directors, counselors, and laity (both male and female) to take advantage of Hope & Healing,” said O. Wayne Brewer, director of Church of God Men’s Discipleship. “This free webinar will present and examine steps and methodologies for accountability, confession, repentance, spiritual renewal, and healing restitution for those caught in this spiritual trap. Christ and His grace is able to also deliver men and women today.”
Brewer went on to say that the Hope & Healing webinar will be a great help to leaders and will present a broad approach to the problem of pornography use, combining grace and mercy with tough-love and accountability.
