Gathering to Host Thousands for CityFest East Texas

The RE:NEW Gathering on April 4 is expected to host thousands of people for a special night of inspiration, prayer, worship, and unity as more than 220 local churches prepare for a powerful season of outreach and service.

Led by international evangelist Andrew Palau, the event will also include award-winning band Passion Music and speaker and teacher Josh White.

The RE:NEW Gathering will be on April 4 at Green Acres Baptist Church, 1607 Troup Highway in Tyler. The free event will start at 7 p.m. Free tickets can be reserved at www.cityfest.org/renew.

With 230 churches already committed to support and serve the region of East Texas though CityFest, the RE:NEW Gathering will be the first of many events focused on bringing unity, partnership, and the Good News to East Texas.

“We know our challenges, our concerns, and our opportunities in this region,” Elam Swann of Swann’s Furniture & Design said. “Just think of what we can do and accomplish if we unite together as one Church body. I’m particularly excited about working with the Palau Association because my son made a decision for Jesus at a Palau event in 1999. I have seen what the team can do on a personal level and I want that experience for my East Texas neighbors.”

The special season of outreach and service culminates this fall with CityFest East Texas with Andrew Palau on October 5-6, 2019 at Tyler City Square Downtown.

The festival is part of a larger, global effort to share the Good News with millions of individuals and thousands of cities.
